TOURNAMENT BOUNDARIES

Tampa Bay & its tributaries – offshore extending no more than 25NM from the Egmont Key Lighthouse (Clearwater Pass to the North; Siesta Key to the South)

TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

  • Participants must arrive at the St. Petersburg Courtesy Docks Slips #4-10 by 7:30 AM
  • Launching order for boat groups:
    • Boat Groups 1-15: Launch at 7:40 AM
    • Boat Groups 16-31: Launch at 8:00 AM
  • Fishing will begin at 8:30 AM and boats are to be back at the docks by 2:30 PM
    • Boats coming in and out of Courtesy Docks should obey the NO WAKE ZONES

FISHING RULES

  • Tournament style is catch and release
  • Fishing areas:

    • Tampa Bay and its tributaries - offshore extending no more than 25NM from the Egmont Lighthouse (Clearwater Pass to the North and Siesta Key to the South)
  • Natural and artificial baits are permitted
  • Chumming is permitted
  • Qualifying species include (inshore and rod-bender):
    • Snook
    • Redfish
    • Speckled Trout
    • Sheepshead
    • Mangrove Snapper
    • Jack
    • Mackerel
    • Grouper
    • Tarpon
    • Shark
  • Winning boat is determined by Total # of Points for all species caught by each boat
    • Tie breaker will be determined by fastest time to complete their catch
    • Fish do not need to be of legal size to qualify for the tournament
      (However, if you are participating in the Calcuttas, the length matters)
  • Species in tournament are photo release only
    • Photo Guidelines
      • Photos must be taken with nose of fish facing to the left
      • Flush against official Saltwater Showdown Tournament Ruler
        (or ruler flush against fish not boated, such as tarpon or shark)
      • Photo must include entire fish, pinched tails, and clearly show overall length
  • All photo submissions must be made via the iAngler app and posted between 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (late entries will NOT be considered)
