We are not offering refunds so make sure you are committed before registering.

Snacks, ice cream, and refreshments available for purchase at the marina.
Note: Do not block the boat launch!

Registration Fee: $60 + a generous amount of non-perishable food. Top 3 donations in weight will win a prize from our sponsors.

If we are unable to complete all categories in the grand slam, then we will start by removing Yellow Perch.

OFFICIAL EVENT RULES

• No Prefishing after 5pm on Friday September 6th, 2024
• Photo submission end on Sunday September 22, 2024, at 7:00 pm. (Submission after 7:00 will be disqualified, no exception)
• You may fish on any legal body of water from a vessel that is not gas powered (tolling is allowed)
• Vessel has to be in the background of the submitted picture
• Judges can help you submit your fish if you are having trouble. No submission after 7:00 pm
• This is a Catch and Release event; dead fish will not count towards submission.
• No live bait allowed.
• Experienced anglers are encouraged to offer tips to newcomers.
• All measurements rounded down to the nearest 1/4".
• Tie-breakers will be awarded to the first submitter of the longer fish.
• PFDs must be worn properly at all times; failure to do so will disqualify you from the raffle.
• All fish to be submitted through iAnglerTournament application for verification and scoring.
• All photos submitted must have the fish measured on a Ketch bump board or Hawg Trough.
• Fish on the bump board must face left and tail to the right.
• Fish mouth must be fully closed against the bump board; any discrepancies result in a 1/2" deduction per violation.
• The fish's tail must lay naturally on the measuring board with nothing holding its position.
• Nothing can be in the fish's mouth while being photographed.
• Do not cover the eyes or tail with your hand in photos.
• The identifier must be shown in each catch photo submitted.
• All anglers are responsible for their own safety gear and personal safety.
• Trolling motors are accepted on all vessels.
• Trolling with a lure is permitted on non-motorized vessels (only paddle or pedal).
• A valid fishing license is required for competition.
• Follow MNR regulations.
• No drugs or alcohol allowed
• Competing is optional but encouraged.

ITINERARY

• 4:00 am: Volunteers get ready. Designated volunteers tie off kayaks at the dock before their responsibilities.
Non-designated volunteers will wait on the water to free up the marina. (No lines in the water)
• 5:00 am - 6:30 am: Registration (Check-In, PFD check, welcome bag distribution with bump board
identifier and door prizes, drop off non-perishable food, buy raffle tickets. Vehicles are escorted to designated parking areas.
• 7:15 am: Mandatory group photo in front of the boat launch facing the lake.
• 7:30 am: Blast off (No lines in the water until after blast off with air horn)
• 12pm - 1 pm: Kayak Race and Fish (Same place as staging area).

Rules:
Kayakers race from "A" (staging area) to "B" and back to "A", then run to the picnic table to grab the prize

Division:
• Paddle
• Pedal
• Stand Up Paddle

• 1:00 pm: Leader board will be visible for a short period of time.
• 1:00 pm: Raffle prize and regular prize table setup.
• 3:00 pm: Tournament ends. Put away kayaks.
• 4:00 pm: Group photo in front of tents while holding both banners.
• 4:15 pm: Secure the banners to tents for award/prize ceremony.
• 4:45 pm. Last call to bid on raffle prizes with raffle tickets
• 5:00 pm: Award Ceremony/Raffle (Do not walk away until your photo has been taken, and you must be present to claim your prize)

Waiver and Release of Liability
  1. In consideration for receiving permission for myself to participate in this PADDLE SPORT GET TOGETHER event on September 07 2024 at Kawrtha Lakes Marina (Pigeon Lake), I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue and agree to hold harmless for any and all purposes Peter Yeung, Sponsors, Organizers, Volunteers and all participants from any and all liabilities, claims, demands or injury including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in such activity or while on the premises of Six Mile Lake Marina, including injuries sustained as a result of the negligence of Releasees. I acknowledge there may be physically strenuous activities. General risks are listed in item number two below; some more specific risks are outlined according to activity at the end of the waiver. I know of no medical reason why I should not participate.
  2. By my participation in this event, I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any loses and/ or damages, whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other conduct of the Organizers, Sponsors, Volunteers and Participants of THE PADDLE SPORT GET TOGETHER, or by any other person including myself. I also verify that I am in good health, Not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol of any kind, nor do I have them in my possession, and am capable of pursuing kayaking and boating, and that my participation in this activity is voluntary. I/we also agree to be using a personal floatation device, of type 3 or better, at all times.
  3. I acknowledge that kayak fishing participation and competition involves certain inherent dangers, and hazards; that the risk of injury from the activities involved in this event is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, physical fitness, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,
  4. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.
  5. I acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the event and allow reproductions of these photographic materials to be used in promotional and media activities initiated by the Organizers and Sponsors.
  6. I understand the Organizers and Sponsors are providing coordination services for this event only, and are not liable for any expenses that I might incur, nor are they responsible for travel, lodging, parking tickets, meals or incidentals on my behalf that may be connected with this event.
  7. I acknowledge to adhere to Federal and Ontario fishing and boating legislations and regulations at all times during the event.
  8. I acknowledge that Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parent(s) or legal guardian(s) throughout the duration of the PADDLE SPORT GET TOGETHER event. The parent(s) or legal guardian(s) will be responsible for the supervision and safety of the minor participant and will assume all liabilities and responsibilities outlined in this waiver and release of liability.

BY REGISTERING FOR THE PADDLE SPORT GETTOGETHER EVENT ON THE iAnglerTournament APPLICATION, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS OF THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY. I VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO ALL THE POINTS STATED HEREIN AND HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE ANY CLAIMS AGAINST PETER YEUNG, SPONSORS, ORGANIZERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND ALL PARTICIPANTS, AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OUTLINED IN THIS DOCUMENT. MY REGISTRATION SERVES AS A BINDING ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS STATED ABOVE.
