CCA NC Inside/Out Catch and Release Fishing Tournament

1 Week Long:
• Take bad weather and scheduling conflicts out of the equation!
• Tournament will begin on Saturday, July 13th @ Sunup and run through the following Saturday, July 20th @ Sunset
• You can only make it on the weekend? No problem!

Fish Where YOU want:
• Boundaries? There aren’t any!
• Thanks to the iAngler app, we are no longer limited to single day tournaments and weigh stations.

• 1 Requirement: All anglers must be present at Captain’s Party in Wilmington on Friday, July 12th to go over rules/regulations and to receive official tournament ruler, sponsored by SeaTow, that is required for photo submissions to be valid (If unable to attend, anglers must send someone in their place or notify CCA NC no later than Monday, July 8th to allow for Captain’s Party headcount to be adjusted and to arrange for ruler pickup)
• If you’re at the party, fish in any NC coastal waters from state line to state line!
100% Catch and Release Tournament!:
• The iAngler Tournament app allows your phone to replace the weigh station and gives your catch an opportunity to so that we can do our part to “Let ‘Em Spawn!”
• Each time you catch one of the valid tournament species’, you can take a photo of your catch on the ruler, submit the photo to our judges for scoring, and track live leaderboard updates all within the iAngler app!
• Photo Requirements:
o Official tournament ruler, sponsored by SeaTow, is the only valid measuring device permitted
o Measurement on ruler must be clearly visible in photo
o Measurements based on nose to “pinched” tail length
o Photo must be taken within the iAngler app to allow for time stamp to be attached

Entry Fee:
• Individual Entries
o No need to worry about filling a team or leaving an odd man out. Fish with friends or go solo. On a boat, off your dock, in the surf, wherever you want!
o Anglers must be current or new CCA member in order to be eligible for prizes and giveaways
o No additional entry fees!
 All registered anglers are permitted to participate in one division, or both, and are eligible for Longest Catch competition prizes for each species listed below without paying into any additional TWTs!
o All valid entries include complimentary Captain’s Party entry
 Tournament registration IS available at Captain’s Party
 Non-registered friends and/or family are welcome to attend for cost of $15/person
• Current CCA Members - $50
o Membership must be valid through final day of tournament at minimum
• New CCA Members - $75
o 1 year memberships are normally $35 but you can save $10 by registering as a new member!
o Become eligible for all of the great prizes and giveaways in the tournament and enjoy all of the perks and benefits of a year of CCA membership
o New member entries must be submitted no later than Friday, July 12th
• Rising Tide Members – FREE (ages 14 & under)
o Must be accompanied by a registered adult
Two Divisions:
• Inside
o Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder
o Scoring based on aggregate total of longest catch for each species (rounded up to nearest ¼ inch)
 i.e. – longest Red Drum + longest Trout + longest flounder = total score
 a valid entry for each of the three species > total length for any two species regardless of total length
• Out
o Spanish Mackerel
o Scoring based on aggregate total length of 3 longest Spanish caught (rounded up to nearest ¼ inch)
Payout Structures and Prizes (Based on minimum of 50 entries):
• Inside and Outside division aggregate winner payments:
o 1st Place: $1000
o 2nd Place: $750
o 3rd Place: $500
• Longest Catch Individual Competitions - $500 EACH

o Red Drum

o Spanish Mackerel

o All registered anglers will be eligible for additional random drawings for even more great prizes and giveaways at the Captain’s Party and communicated through iAngler messages during the tournament!
