SPRING CREEK MARINA RV PARK PAVILION

Come enjoy a weekend of fishing with some of the top kayak anglers in the region. The Spring Creek Marina & RV park has plenty of cabins and RV spots available , (https://www.springcreekmarinarv.com). We have several cabins and RV spots near the pavilion being held for our group. Make sure you tell them you are with the Kayak Bass Classics tournament!

The tournament starts at first light on Saturday Sept. 7th, followed by a FREE BBQ from 3:30pm – 5:30pm at the weigh. All competitors will receive a wrist band when you check-in at the morning Captains meeting at Spring Creek RV Park PAVILLION at 5:30am.

Texas Country artist Jay Dirks will be playing his awesome style of original music and country hits starting at 3:30pm during the BBQ. Jay’s music can be found on Facebook, iTunes, Amazon. This one you don’t wanna miss!

There wil be a FREE prize raffle during the BBQ / weigh-in as well. You will be given a raffle ticket during check-in as well. You MUST be present to win.

The cash payout will be 1st – 3rd places and prizes through 5th place.

As always our events are designed for you to get a full weekend of good fun, competition, making new friends, and taking in the whole tournament experience. A perfect time for those first time competitors looking to try their first tournament.

Tournament zone is any PUBLIC access waters with 100 miles of HQ.

*** RULES ***

HAWG TROUGH AND KETCH BOARDS ACCEPTED FOR MEASUREMENTS **NO EXCEPTIONS**

  • Please bring boards to captains meeting for inspection

CATCH PHOTO RELEASE (CPR) requirements.

  • Cell phone/Digital Camera photos ONLY. NO GOPRO Photos will be accepted.
  • Fish head MUST be to LEFT belly down. ENTIRE fish must be photo. Photo MUST be clear and ledgible.
  • LIP of fish MUST be clearly touching the end of board.
  • OVERHEAD photos ONLY. NO angles.
  • Measurement markings MUST be clearly visible.
  • IDENTIFIER MUST be clearly visible, preferably on hand but will accept TourneyTags.
  • Fish grips, pliers, etc. must NOT be photos.
  • HOOKS may be in photos as long as it does NOT interfere with picture of fishes lip for measuring.

*** SCORING ***

  • Only fish 12” or longer are score-able.
  • 5 longest fish added together for total.
  • Inches are rounded DOWN to the nearest ¼”

*** BAITS and LURES ***

  • Artificial Baits and lures ONLY.
  • 2 Rods in use only at a time.
  • Rod and Reel fishing ONLY.

*** MISC. RULES ***

  • “Road runner” style start. You may put in anywhere on PUBLIC ACCESSED waters ONLY, and within the 100 mile fishing zone from the HQ. (MUST attend captains meeting prior to launch)
  • MUST wear life jacket at ALL times while fishing. If any competitor is seen without a life jacket and photographed without it while on the water, THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED
  • ZERO alcohol use while fishing during tournament.

***ALL ANGLERS RELEASE ALL LIABILITY TO ORGANIZERS OF EVENT WHILE ATTENDING TOURNAMENT AND CAMPING AT FACILITY.

  • KAYAKS AND CANOES ONLY
  • Trolling motors ARE allowed.
  • Failure to adhere to rules is means for disqualification.
