This is a family friendly event, and for $5, you may compete against your fellow employees for bragging rights and awards, by utilizing the FREE iAngler app/website. Please contact Kelli Kranz if you do not have access to a computer/internet/smart phone, as you are still able to participate!

Trophies and Kinze Bucks will be awarded to the winner of each of the five categories.

Virtual Fishing Tournament Guidelines

Entry Fee:

  • $5 dollars per participant is due to Human Resources no later than Wednesday, September 16th.

Registration:

  • Please sign up on the Kinze Sharepoint site. All those that sign up, will receive an email with further instructions on how to download the iAngler app, a code to access our tournament, and additional helpful resources.

Participation:

  • Fish must be caught within the state of Iowa within the timeframe of the tournament.
  • Log all of your catches by submitting a photo to the app/website. The system will automatically cull and score your largest fish.
  • Please be sure that the tournament identifier is visible in the catch photo submitted. It can be written on paper or an object in the photo.
    The tournament identifier is: Kinze20
  • Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Walleye will be measured by length and the photo submitted must include the fish on a tape measure and the tournament identifier.
  • Catfish will be measured by weight and the photo submitted must include the fish on a scale and the tournament identifier.

Measuring Device

You will need to provide your own measuring device. Any device can be used that can measure your fish to the nearest ¼”. Please be sure the lines on the measuring device are easily identified in the photos.

How to Measure

The fish needs to be measured from left to right. Starting from the mouth on the left and ending with the tail on the right. Dorsal fin must be at the top. Please make sure your fish pictures are clear. Make sure we can see some of the mouth and the beginning of the measuring device. Eye must be seen. Completely covering the fish face will result in a DQ of the fish.

To confirm that the fish is alive, the fish’s eye must be uncovered in the photo. Photos of fish that appear to be dead, mutilated, frozen or similarly damaged will be disqualified without scoring. Photos of fish that appear to have been mangled, mashed, mauled or otherwise altered in ways that increase their length will be disqualified or approved for scoring at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

All fish must be submitted to the nearest 1/4”. If your fish is almost 20 3/4” but is not quite touching the 3/4” mark, your fish will be rounded down to 20 1/2”

TAKE a picture of your fish with mouth closed on your measuring board with your entire “Identifier Code” clearly visible. If the identifier code is not in the photo or not visible and clear, the fish will be disqualified.
