SCORING:
The tournament is strictly a CPR (Catch, Photo, Release) tournament, and all efforts to return the fish in a healthy and acceptable manner must be taken. Tournament standings, and final winners shall be determined by Tournament Match Director / Technology Application data (iAngler App); of each competitor’s catch during the competition day of the tournament. Only Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass and Guadalupe Bass will be measured. The limit shall be five fish, only bass as described above will be measured on the longest straight line using an approved measuring device. Fish must be scored with the left side of the fish facing up, belly towards the angler. Mouth may be open OR closed, but the lip MUST be touching the bump board on the Approved Measuring Device. The use of bungies, stringers, or other means of securing the fish other than the angler’s hand is prohibited. (Exclusion for using a fish grip while securing tackle and staging for documenting / approval). Anglers may not pinch the tail. Minimum length for all bass at all events will be 12.00″ in length. Any bass that appears to have been mangled, mashed, mauled or otherwise altered will be credited only at the discretion of tournament officials. The TOTAL length of the day from the participant’s best 5 bass will be the winner. In the event of a tie, the angler that submitted his largest bass first will be the winner of the tie.

➢ NO competitors are to be within 5 yards of each other during fish-time; except in the case of emergency when assistance is required.
➢ NO fish are to be kept on stringers.
➢ NO surface Marking Devices (i.e. Marker Buoys)

Anglers will have the opportunity to participate in an optional “big bass” side pot for an additional $10.00 at the time of check in. This side pot requires a live well and the fish must be alive and healthy at time of weigh in. Unlike the regular tournament entry fee, the big bass side pot will be paid for in cash at the Captain’s Meeting by anglers who wish to compete in the side pot. All cash will be collected at check-in and 100% of the side pot funds will be paid out in cash during the official weigh-in following the tournament. Big bass side pot will be paid out as follows:

Biggest Bass 100%

Trolling lures, even if the rod is not being held by the angler, will be considered “in use.” All bass must be caught live and in a conventional sporting manner. Anyone guilty of snatching or snagging visible fish will have their catch disqualified.

Anglers may only use one rod, one reel, and one lure at a time.

When visually fishing a bed or for bedding bass, to be counted as a legal fish, all bass must be hooked inside the mouth. iAngler TOURNAMENT SCORING APP INTEGRATION AND RULES:
The "iAngler Tournament" system is a comprehensive system for the operation and management of Fishing Tournaments. The system also collects vital angling data for marine research. The "iAngler Tournament" mobile application allows anglers participating in registered fishing tournaments to log their catch data while still on the water.

During tournaments, the anglers will use the mobile app to photo their catch and record basic information while on the water. The catch record is immediately transmitted to the web portal for review by the Tournament Director (if there is an active internet connection). The transmission takes seconds. If an internet connection (usually cellular) is not available, the catch record is saved for transmission later.

The Tournament Director is immediately notified when an angler logs a catch. He/She can review the catch photo and information, then accept or reject the submission as per the above scoring and catch logging rules. Accepted catch records are immediately scored and posted to the Live Leaderboard. Anglers are immediately notified, via email and within the app, when a catch record is rejected. The rejection notice contains a message from the Tournament Director on why the record was rejected. If possible, the catch record can be corrected and resubmitted.

The mobile application is used by the tournament participants and remote viewers.
