Plantation on Crystal River's Annual Redfish Classic Tournaments mission is to produce the area’s best family-friendly Redfish Tournament, encourage Conservation and get more anglers out on the water. Tournament Host Plantation on Crystal River and it's Sponsors are proud of this professional and upscale Family friendly event. Redfish is the primary quest, but there will also be categories for Trout & Grouper(Red & Gag) along with a Youth & Ladies Division. Redfish/Red Drum will be weighed and the limit shall be 2 fish per team. Grouper will be based on the largest single fish of red, black, or gag grouper species. The Trout division is a catch-photo-release competition to promote conservation. Each team will be provided a special measuring device to be used when submitting their catch. Trout must be entered either via iAngler app. Trout winning teams will be based on the total length of a 5-fish aggregate using the iAngler app. http://www.ianglertournament.com/2019-plantation-redfish-classic Tournament standings, auxiliary awards, and final winners shall be determined by the total weight measured in pounds and 100th of a pound of each teams 2 redfish catch or individual grouper and aggregate length of 5 total trout during the tournament. Every effort must be made to keep redfish alive. An 8-ounce penalty will be deducted from the weight per dead fish presented for weigh-in. Dead fish possessed by a team of tournament anglers may not be discarded. No mutilated or iced fish shall be accepted. Any alteration of length or weight of fish is prohibited and team will be banished from any future tournaments.
